Drummers and dancers alike, this workshop is for you! You will learn the symbiotic relationship between dancing and drumming, with a choreography and drum rhythms that celebrate harvest time and build on the concept of community, encouragement and co-operation within music and dance.
For dancers of all ages 5-99 and drummers Age 10-99
Learn to dance to live drumming, learn to drum for live dancers!
Dancers: You will learn some fun dance movements in the African dance style celebrating harvest time! You will also learn the relationship between drums and dance and learn to dance to live drums!
Dancers: No experience necessary
Drummers: In this workshop previous experience playing music is required as you will be learning how to accompany the dancers! You will learn a dedicated dance rhythm and how to lead the dancers in to dance, change moves and stop.
Drummers: musical experience necessary
Drums are provided.
Last 15 minutes is available for a performance and dance together with family and friends.
